1 Re-export Process (Using Malaysia as an Example)
(1) First Leg: Ship goods from any Chinese port to Malaysia under normal export declaration.
(2) Transshipment: Upon arrival in Malaysia, we handle container pickup, container transshipment (with supervised photo documentation), and apply for local Malaysian CO and related documents.
(3) Second Leg: Ship goods to the final destination. Your client clears customs using our provided documents to avoid high import tariffs including anti-dumping
(4) No Traceability: The destination port cannot trace the goods’ origin back to China.
Packaging Requirements:
No labels indicating “Made in China” or Chinese characters.
2.Direct Shipping vs. Re-export Cost Comparison
Direct Shipping Costs:
Sea freight + standard tariffs + anti-dumping tax +U.S. 45% additional tariffs.
Re-export Costs:
First-leg sea freight + transshipment/documentation fees + second-leg sea freight + standard/preferential tariffs.
Note: Re-export is not cost-effective for low-value shipments (under $10,000) or products with low anti-dumping tax rates, due to added operational and time costs.
